Systems/ASM is Dignus' HLASM R6 compatible assembler product for the IBM mainframe.Systems/ASM assembler software allows users to develop mainframe applications, in IBM assembler language,on a mainframe, or on UNIX and Windows workstations. Systems/ASMgenerates object code for all IBM zSeries operating systems, includingLinux for S/390 and zSeries, z/OS, OS/390, VSE, z/VSE, VM, z/VM, TPF and z/TPF.

Systems/ASM can be used to create Linux/390 and z/Linuxprograms from traditional ASM source, allowing for aneasier transition to Linux on the mainframe. Systems/ASMcan assemble existing code as unchanged as possible (no new instructionsor psuedo-ops to use) and also has complete support for debugging with thenative Linux tools.

Systems/ASM Version 1.95 is available now!

Version 1.95 has many new features including MHELP and PRINT MCALL support, TYPECHECK support, UWARN support improved HTML listing output, latest vector instruction support and ongoing HLASM compatibility improvements.

To learn more aboutthe recent enhancements in Systems/ASM Version 1.95, read the'whatsnew' file.

Systems/ASM is available as a native assembler for CMS, OS/390, z/OS and USS, or as a cross-assembler hosted on Windows, Mac OS/X, Max OS/X x86, AIX, Solaris, Solaris/x86, HPUX, FreeBSD, Linux, Linux/390and z/Linux.

The Systems/ASMdocumentation is now available as an Adobe Acrobat (pdf) file. And, you can request a 30-day trialof Systems/ASM to examine yourself, applying it to your developmentefforts today!

There isn’t an operating system lifeguard to keep you from removing files and directories you didn’t intend to. If you aren’t familiar with navigating via CLI, that’s ok, do some research. Look for a Mac Terminal cheat sheet online to expand your knowledge, but I’ll try to be very descriptive with the commands we use here. Once your older Mac OS X CD or DVD is in your hand, set aside some time with Disk Utility and some blank CD-Rs, DVD-Rs, or, in the case of the Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. MacOS Big Sur elevates the most advanced desktop operating system in the world to a new level of power and beauty. Experience Mac to the fullest with a refined new design. Enjoy the biggest Safari update ever. Discover new features for Maps and Messages. And get even more transparency around your privacy. Linux is an open-source operating system. It is like Windows, Mac, Android, etc. Unix is also an operating system like Linux. It is an commercial OS. It consists of three parts: Kernal, Shell and Programs. Most of the Unix and Linux commands are similar in nature.

Systems/ASM can be applied to many development tasks:

In short, Systems/ASM takes your development to the 'next level!'

Features of Systems/ASM include:

  • HLASM R6 compatible assembler and macro processor.
  • Support for modern architectures and the new HLASM mnemonics.
