Void Golf is a little game about shooting giant pieces of space rock into black holes, using gravitational fields, physics-defying walls and wormholes.
As in traditional human golf, the fewer hits, the better.
No need to worry though, you can always hide the hit counter and just chill.
Controls
- [Left click] to charge the shot.
- [Spacebar] to reset an ongoing shot (the hit still counts, though!)
- [H] to hide/show the hit counter.
You can play in your browser or download the game. Mac OS X and Linux versions weren't tested, so be prepared for the worst!

Great game! Super relaxing music, and the difficulty was just right, at least for me. It would definitely benefit from having some indication that there are… 30 levels, was it? It would give it a stronger sense of direction and purpose to the minute by minute playing. But definitely worth a play, I had a great time.
Thank you! Yeah, some kind of level counter would've definitely helped here. Also displaying the controls in-game, since it looks like some people didn't notice you can restart the shots.
True! I can't complain about that since discovering the spacebar resetting came fairly naturally to me.
Good game, I juts wish there was a restart button, because sometimes I click and the golf ball goes so slow, and I have to wait so long for it to crash so that I can have another go.

This game is good the difficulty and the mechanics contrast well the feeling when you win a level is just sp satisfying the simplicity of the graphic and music are good for anyone on a device with poor performance also i think this game would have a gret port to ios and android if given the opportunity!

The art and atmosphere are good, but it's too difficult. I don't know if you added a secret tutorial, but you're introducing new things too quickly. I made it to hole 4, knowing that the small grey rock can bend your trajectory. However, it didn't bend it enough and I didn't understand what the purple striped area does.
Sorry to hear that! The purple area is an ordinary obstacle, it makes you fail the shot so you have to use the planet's gravity to reach the black hole. It's just a matter of using the right power and direction. The game can be difficult sometimes, but eventually you can beat even the hardest level. Hope you give it another shot :)
Hey, love the atmosphere of this game. How'd you create the music? I'm new to music production but I've noticed what a huge impact it can have on atmosphere so any advice you've got on the subject would be appreciated.
Hey there! I'm a newbie too. I used Ableton Live for the music and the SFX. I had some ideas for the song, watched a couple of tutorials and the rest was just messing around with the program for hours. I'd say find some chords you like and build the song around them? Websites like this one can help a lot.

NASA’s Perseverance rover launched for Mars back in August but it won’t arrive until early 2021. If you’re looking to have some of your own Martian fun, the iPhone game “Golf On Mars” has you covered with an almost infinite amount of holes on the red planet.
Golf On Mars is the follow-up to the popular Desert Golfing that originally launched in 2014 (via Daring Fireball).
For centuries, philosophers and mathematicians have gazed up at the night sky and wondered:
“Is there Golf On Mars?”
The year is 2866. Mars is 35% terraformed, finally enough to allow the playing of the game of.. Golf!

Witty developer Captain Games has some fun describing the game and says that “Mars is par 3” after accounting for the gravitational differences with Earth, so par for the whole course is about 77 billion.
For example, if the ball is 16 pixels wide on your screen then the typical hole will be 1200 pixels away.
Scaling this to the size of a real ball (1.68 inches), it’s as if the hole is only 3.5 yards away!
A realistic 18 hole golf course where the fairways are 3.5 yards away would only require about 1300 square feet of land.
However, gravity on Mars is 38% that of Earth’s gravity, so you could hit a ball 7 times farther, or roughly 1400 yards for a good player.
This 18 hole course then needs to be to 64000 square feet. You could cover the entire surface of Mars with 241 billion of these golf courses.

Therefore, you could easily fit all the holes in Golf On Mars on the surface of Mars.
Mars is par 3, so aim to finish in under 77 billion strokes.
